Privacy policy
Version 1 · 13 September 2026
At a glance
- Paper Skyline collects nothing about you.
- There is no account, no sign-in, and nothing to register.
- The game makes no network requests. It works with the aeroplane mode switch on.
- Your run, your charted cities and your artifacts are written to your own device and stay there.
- Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.
What the game stores, and where
Paper Skyline writes four small values to the local application storage your phone provides to every app — the same place a game keeps its settings. They never leave the device.
| Stored as | What it holds | Leaves the device? |
|---|---|---|
| paper-skyline-save | The run in progress: which city, which day, coins, upgrade levels. | No |
| paper-skyline-unlocked | How far along the tour you have travelled. | No |
| paper-skyline-artifacts | Which artifacts you have found. | No |
| paper-skyline-bests | Your best single-flight distance in each city. | No |
None of it identifies you. Taken together it describes a paper plane, not a person.
What it does not collect
To be specific, because vagueness in a privacy policy is usually hiding something. Paper Skyline does not collect, transmit, sell or share:
- your name, email address, phone number or any other contact detail;
- your location, precise or approximate;
- photographs, the camera, the microphone, or your contacts;
- your device's advertising identifier, or any other identifier used to track you across apps;
- analytics, usage statistics, crash reports or diagnostics;
- anything at all, to any advertising network.
There are no advertisements in Paper Skyline and no purchases to make. If either ever changes, this policy is rewritten and published before the change reaches a player — never after.
Permissions
The game asks for no permissions. It does not need the camera, the microphone, your location, your files or your contacts, so it never requests them. If something claiming to be Paper Skyline asks you for one of these, it is not this game.
The engine
Paper Skyline is built with Unity. Unity offers a set of optional cloud services — analytics, crash reporting, advertising, player accounts — and none of them are switched on in this game. The project is not linked to a Unity cloud project, so there is no destination for data to be sent to even in principle.
Apple and Google
When you install any app, the store you installed it from keeps its own records of that — the download itself, and, if you have that turned on, crash reports collected by the operating system. Those records belong to Apple and Google and are governed by their privacy policies, not this one. We receive from them only anonymous, aggregated counts of how many people have installed the game, which tell us nothing about any individual.
Children
Paper Skyline is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to obtain parental consent for and nothing that could ever be deleted on request — a parent who wants the data gone can delete the app, and it is gone.
Changes to this policy
This is version 1, and it describes the game exactly as it is today. If a future version of Paper Skyline adds anything that touches your data — an account, a leaderboard, an advertisement — this page is updated and dated first, and the version number goes up.
- Version 1 · 13 September 2026
- First publication. No accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no network.
